Cupra's two SUV models are in good supply for Australian buyers, although the Formentor plug-in hybrid is out of reach for customers at the moment.

The Volkswagen Tiguan R is not currently available to order, but there are other hot SUVs in the Volkswagen Group stable with decent supply.
Cupra says high-end VZ and VZx versions of the Formentor, along with the Ateca VZx, can be delivered “within a few weeks” of someone making an online order.
Like the supply-constrained Tiguan R, the Formentor and Ateca VZx are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.
In the Ateca it makes 221kW of power and 400Nm of torque; the Formentor has the same torque output but packs 228kW of power.
Both are all-wheel drive, and send their power to the road through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Although supply of VZ and VZx models is solid, the Formentor VZe plug-in hybrid is currently not available.
The brand is “in discussion with its factory as to further production”, according to a media release.
The Formentor is comfortably Cupra’s best-selling car in Australia. In January, the 108 delivered represented just shy of three quarters of the brand’s deliveries.
