Ram Trucks Australia has extended its end-of-financial-year (EOFY) ‘Mates Rates’ finance offer, now encompassing almost every model in the brand’s local lineup.

Until June 30, 2024, the Ram 1500’s Express, Big Horn, Laramie, Laramie Sport and Limited variants – as well as the 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty models – are available with a 4.99 per cent APR finance offer.

The deal doesn’t require a deposit to be placed, however it’s only available to approved ABN holders.

It’s available across a 48-month loan term with a maximum final payment of 40 per cent. You can view more terms and conditions on the Ram website.

Ram’s Mates Rates deal was initially only available for the 1500 Big Horn, though its expansion effectively covers all of the brand’s vehicles in local showrooms, excluding the high-performance Ram 1500 TRX.

The offer comes shortly after production of the 5.7-litre V8-powered Ram 1500 range finished up in the US, with the model line now powered by twin-turbo 3.0-litre six-cylinder engines.

Ram Trucks Australia hasn’t yet confirmed when we’ll see the straight-six 1500s in local showrooms, nor has it detailed specifications for the local range.

In the US, the base twin-turbo six-cylinder engine produces 313kW of power and 636Nm of torque, besting the outgoing naturally aspirated Hemi V8 by 22kW and 80Nm.

The new performance hero of the 1500 line will be the RHO, which utilises the same six-cylinder engine but with increased outputs of 402kW of power and 706Nm of torque.

A total of 1162 Ram 1500s were sold across the first four months of 2024, a 42.2 per cent drop compared to the same period in 2023.

Despite this, it remains the top-seller in the growing segment, besting the Ford F-150 (789) and Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (739).

Overall, 3490 full-sized pickup trucks were delivered from January to April in Australia.
