Bentley will reveal its first electric vehicle in 2025 and bring it to market in 2026, with the entire range to offer an EV option before the end of the decade.
The company’s Chairman and CEO, Adrian Hallmark, confirmed the British luxury brand is powering towards its promise of an all-electric line-up from 2030.
“The 12-cylinder engine has been the bedrock of the Bentley story,” Mr Hallmark said.
“By 2030 that won’t exist, which is sad. We fully embrace that all-electric carbon-neutral future.”

Before Bentley reveals its first EV, it will electrify the existing line-up with plug-in hybrid drivetrains by 2024 – the Bentayga Hybrid already exists, with the Flying Spur to come in 2022.
The electric Bentley will debut in 2025 ahead of a 2026 market launch, with all nameplates to offer an all-electric option between 2027 and 2030. Bentley will then discontinue its combustion-engined vehicles from 2030.
Overseas reports indicate the first EV will be an SUV, potentially a version of the next Bentayga or perhaps an all-new nameplate, spun off the new Artemis platform co-developed with Audi.
Hallmark added Bentley is working towards being “environmentally and ethically transparent” with its vehicles and operations, from sustainable materials and carbon-neutral production methods to electrified powertrains for reduced emissions – eventually aiming for zero emissions, naturally.
“This makes the brand and [luxury] segment appealing to a whole new generation of customers,” Mr Hallmark said.
