Audi Australia has recalled 82 examples of the 2023 Q7 and Q8 SUVs, as their passenger-side airbag may not function properly.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the front passenger airbag may not have been installed correctly,” Audi said in its recall notice.
“In the event of airbag deployment in an accident, the airbag may not provide sufficient protection for the front seat passenger which could increase the risk of injury or death.”

It’s the second recall to affect the Audi Q7 and Q8 within three months, following the discovery of a fault which could cause the SUV twin’s front seat frame to fracture.
Audi Australia has advised owners of affected vehicles to contact their preferred Audi dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
