Audi is trying to sweeten the deal for some customers hit by wait times on their new MY23 car.
It’s offering five years (or 75,000km) of free servicing to those who order a car between July 1 and August 31, 2022, and have it delivered by December 31.
This means customers facing wait times beyond six months will not receive the offer.
The deal applies to the MY23 A3 sedan and hatch, A4 sedan and Avant, A5 coupe and Sportback, A6 sedan and allroad, A7 Sportback, Q7 and Q8 SUVs, and the TT sports car. Sporty S and RS models are excluded from the deal.
A five-year service pack on the A3 is priced at $2250, while on the Q8 it’ll usually set you back $3180.
Carmakers are currently dealing with unprecedented challenges when it comes to sourcing new vehicles.
The global semiconductor shortage means there are fewer new cars around to sell in the first place, and those that are available are often missing features. Wait times on some of Australia’s best-selling cars have blown out to six, 12, or 18 months.
Audi is among the brands that has pulled features from its new cars, although it has also applied price cuts to account for the missing equipment.
