Audi Australia is recalling 222 examples of the e-tron GT as moisture may enter the high-voltage battery, which could pose a fire risk.
This recall affects e-tron GT models produced from 2022 to 2023.
“Due to a manufacturing issue, the sealing of the high-voltage battery housing may reduce overtime, allowing moisture to enter,” said the company in its recall notice.
“The moisture may potentially result in an electrical short circuit increasing the risk of fire.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll be contacted by Audi Australia and asked to arrange with your nearest authorised dealer to have the repairs carried out, free of charge.
If you have further questions you can contact Audi Australia on 1800 502 834.
