The Volvo EX90 has finally been priced for Australia, but deliveries of the long-awaited and delayed seven-seat electric SUV are yet to begin.
After being unveiled in late 2022, the EX90 was initially due in Australia from the start of 2024, before global delays pushed its launch back to the end of 2024, and subsequently early 2025.
Priced from $124,990 before on-road costs in the entry-level Plus Twin Motor guise, it slots between the Kia EV9 GT-Line flagship ($121,000) and the Mercedes-Benz EQS450 SUV ($195,900) in the limited Australian seven-seat electric SUV market.
It also undercuts the most affordable dual-motor Polestar 3, which is based on the same platform but only has five seats and starts from $131,054 before on-road costs.

While the base all-wheel drive Polestar is more powerful than its Volvo twin-under-the-skin, the EX90 Ultra Twin Motor Performance matches the equivalent Polestar 3’s outputs, and starts from $134,990 before on-road costs – almost $7800 less.
Standard equipment across the two EX90 variants includes a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen with Google built-in, Nordico upholstery and air suspension with adaptive damping.
More information is expected to be announced closer to deliveries starting.
