2025 Mitsubishi Outlander: Upgraded spec means price rises for petrol-powered models

Details about Australia-bound petrol-only variants of the 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander range have been announced, with all models throughout the range receiving a price bump of at least $2000.

The updated petrol-only variants of the Outlander range go on sale locally from June. The model walk now consists of the ES, LS, Aspire, Exceed, and Exceed Touring. The Black Edition, which sat between the ES and LS has been deleted.

Revisions to the plug-in hybrid range will be released at a later date. Pricing listed in this article is before on-road costs, which varies from state to state.

All petrol variants have subtly revised front fascia designs, and smoked tail-light lenses with full LED lighting. There’s a larger centre bin, and cupholders that are now positioned along the length of the centre tunnel.

Gone are the 8.0 and 9.0-inch infotainment screens, as all variants are now equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and three USB-C ports up front.

Yahama-branded sound systems are standard throughout the range, with all models bar the Exceed Touring featuring an eight speaker setup.

As we’ve previously reported, all 2025 petrol Outlanders are fitted with an Australian-developed steering and suspension tuning package.

All petrol-only versions of the Outlander remain powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder making 135kW and 244Nm that’s paired exclusively to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Kicking things off is ES, which is now priced from $39,990 (+$2250). It includes black cloth seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, and the aforementioned 12.3-inch touchscreen and eight-speaker Yahama sound system.

All-wheel drive is a $2500 option, but the ES is a strictly five-seat affair with the third row deleted from the options list.

One step up is the LS that now starts at $43,290 (+$2050). Upgrades include black-painted 18-inch alloy wheels, three rows of seat for a 5+2 layout, and two USB-C ports for the middle row. All-wheel drive is a $2500 option.

The LS and above are the first Australia-bound models to feature the Mitsubishi Connect system, which includes SOS emergency call assist, and automated notifications for collisions, theft and tow away. With a smartphone app owners can also remotely program the climate control system, preheat seats, find the vehicle, and send destinations to the navigation system.

In the middle of the pack is the seven-seat only Aspire priced at $47,790 (+$2950), which has 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels, black Granlux faux leather trim, a heated steering wheel, lane keeping assistance, and traffic jam assist.

Towards the top of the pile is the Exceed that has a $55,140 RRP (+$2500). While pre-update Exceeds had seven seats, the revised model has just five seats, but includes a full-size alloy spare and a rear cargo floor box with lid.

Other features include quilted leather upholstery in black or grey, heated and ventilated front seats, aluminium pedals, frameless digital rear vision mirror, wing mirrors with auto tilt and memory settings, and front door foot lamps.

Topping the range is the $57,990 (+2800) Exceed Touring. Like the Exceed below it, it has lost two seats but gained a full-size alloy spare.

There’s also quilted Brick Brown semi-aniline leather upholstery, massaging front seats, heated outboard rear seats, and a 12-speaker 1650W Yahama Ultimate sound system with subwoofer and dual amplifiers.

The Exceed Touring is also the only variant in the Outlander range to be available with a variety two-tone paint schemes: White Diamond, Moonstone Grey or Graphite Grey with a black mica roof; or Black Diamond with a Sterling Silver roof.

Lesser models in the Outlander range are available in solid white, Cosmic Blue pearl, Sterling Silver metallic, Graphite Grey metallic, White Diamond prestige, Red Diamond prestige, and Black Diamond prestige. Aspire and Exceed variants can also be specified with Moonstone Grey prestige.

The revised Outlander range comes with a five-year, 100,000km warranty as standard. This can be extended to 10 years and 200,000km if you service within Mitsubishi’s dealer network using its capped-price service program.

All vehicles are sold with 12 months of roadside assist, which can be extended for up to four years when the vehicle is serviced at an authorised Mitsubishi dealer.
