Audi's more potent S3 is arriving in Australia next year with extra power and torque, but also higher prices.
The 2025 Audi S3 is arriving in Australia next year with higher prices, a more potent engine and fresh looks.
Unveiled in April, the facelifted S3 follows the design changes to the wider A3 range, but under the skin it’s now evenly matched with the related and upcoming Volkswagen Golf R.
Starting at $78,800 before on-road costs in Sportback (hatch) guise, the price of entry to the S3 range has increased by $3400. The sedan now starts from $81,800 plus on-road costs, a $4427 increase.

While the Audi S3’s turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine is unchanged, its outputs are not. It now produces 245kW and 420Nm, up 17kW and 20Nm on the outgoing model, and putting the S3 on equal footing with the upcoming Volkswagen Golf R facelift.
The S3 has also gained the Golf R and five-cylinder RS3’s ‘torque splitter’, which utilises a clutch in the rear differential to better distribute torque across the back axle.
Audi also claims the S3 benefits from a revised front suspension setup which allows for 1.5 degrees of negative camber, double that of the pre-facelift model, as well as larger front brake rotors.
The Audi S3 carries over a number of minor interior changes from the A3, including a new surround for the drive-by-wire gear selector and a revised steering wheel centre.
