The 2024 Porsche Panamera range has been expanded to include two more hybrid variants.
In addition to the base Porsche Panamera and the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid announced for Australia in November 2023, there will also be a Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid coming to local showrooms – both with plug-in hybrid power.
Local launch timing and pricing for the new variants has yet to be announced.
Powering the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol engine, contributing 224kW to the plug-in hybrid system’s total outputs of 346kW and 650Nm – a 6kW increase but 50Nm drop compared to the previous generation variant of the model.
Stepping up to the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid results in total system outputs of 400kW and 750Nm, 12kW less than the outgoing model – largely due to a 64kW loss from its 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine – with no change to its torque figure.
Both variants are all-wheel drive, with a 140kW electric motor integrated into the eight-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission shared between the models.
As with the flagship Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid, the electric motor is powered by a 25.9kWh battery pack, capable of charging from flat to full in less than 160 minutes when using the onboard 11kW AC charger.
Standard equipment fitted to the Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid includes:
- 19-inch wheels
- Black brake calipers
- HD Matrix LED headlights
- Head-up display
- 14-way power-adjustable front seats with heating and ventilation
- Soft close doors
- Bose sound system
- Digital radio
- 15-watt wireless charging pad

There will also be a longer wheelbase ‘Executive’ package available for the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, gaining:

- Rear side airbags
Over the 4 E-Hybrid, the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid adds:
- 20-inch ‘Panamera AeroDesign’ wheels
- Red 10-piston front brake calipers
- Silver sport exhaust tips
- Comfort Access

While pricing for the 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid has yet to be announced, the base Panamera and the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid are priced from $227,000 before on-roads and $402,300 before on-roads, respectively. They’re due here in March.
