Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed the updated CLA range will go on sale in November 2023.
UPDATE, 09/11/2023 – Mercedes-Benz Australia previously shared an incorrect price for the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+. We’ve updated this story to reflect the correct information.
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLA line-up will remain the same as the pre-update model, with the CLA 200, CLA 250 4Matic, AMG CLA 35 4Matic, and AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+.
Only the “coupe” body styles will be offered, with the shooting brake wagon axed when the current-generation was introduced locally in 2019.
Pricing for the CLA range is up by $7000, depending on the variant. The range now starts at $76,900 before on-roads for the CLA 200, extends to $126,500 before on-roads for the AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+.
For the extra cash, Mercedes-Benz Australia has included metallic paint, a panoramic glass sunroof, electric front seats with memory, adaptive cruise control, keyless entry and push button start, as well as a surround-view camera as standard across the entire range.
The AMG CLA 35 4Matic now also receives a Burmester surround-sound system, rear cross-traffic alert, lane change assist, Route-based speed adaptation, as well as Guard 360 vehicle protection plus.
Like the A-Class hatch and sedan, most of the updated CLA range features a 48V mild-hybrid system, apart from the flagship CLA 45 S 4Matic+. This includes a belt-driven starter-generator capable of providing an additional 10kW at start-off.
Mercedes-Benz first revealed the updated CLA range earlier this year, with the main changes being a new front bumper, redesigned graphics for the LED headlights and tail lights, as well as new grille designs.
There are also new alloy wheels in sizes up to 19 inches, as well as new Hyper Blue and Spectral Blue exterior paint colours.
All prices are before on-road costs
The entry-level Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 is powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system producing total system outputs of 120kW of power and 270Nm of torque.
