TheGWM Orahasn’t received any specification changes for the 2024 model year, but the mid-spec Ultra variant has been dropped from the lineup.
Three variants are currently offered in Australia: the Standard Range, Extended Range, and GT.
Since bringing the Ora Down Under, GWM has slashed prices on multiple occasions, with the base model now $4000 cheaper than when it arrived.

The flagship GT and mid-level Extended Range have been discounted by $7000 over that same period.
Known as the Funky Cat or Good Cat in other markets, the small electric hatch currently holds the title of the cheapest electric vehicle (EV) in Australia, despite competition from the BYD Dolphin and MG 4.
Both rivals have outsold the Ora by a considerable amount, with GWM tallying 592 Ora sales over the first half of 2024 compared to 1248 Dolphin sales and 2771 MG4 sales.

Power in the Ora comes from a front-mounted electric motor making 126kW of power and 250Nm of torque.

The GWM Ora is backed by a seven-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty, as with the brand’s wider range. The battery is covered for eight years.
Five years of roadside assist and five years of capped-price servicing are also included.
The first five services for the GWM Ora are capped at $99. Logbook servicing is required every 12 months or 15,000km, whichever occurs first.
GWM’s electric hatchback received a five-star rating from ANCAP, based on Euro NCAP testing conducted in 2022.
The GWM Ora received an adult occupant protection rating of 92 per cent, a child occupant protection rating of 84 per cent, a vulnerable road user protection rating of 74 per cent, and a safety assist rating of 93 per cent.
