The GWM Ora hasn’t received any specification changes for the 2024 model year, but the mid-spec Ultra variant has been dropped from the lineup.
Three variants are currently offered in Australia: the Standard Range, Extended Range, and GT.
Since bringing the Ora Down Under, GWM has slashed prices on multiple occasions, with the base model now $4000 cheaper than when it arrived.
UPDATE: 14 August 10:45AM – GWM Australia has announced discounted pricing for the Ora Extended Range and GT. Read more here.
The flagship GT and mid-level Extended Range have been discounted by $7000 over that same period.
Known as the Funky Cat or Good Cat in other markets, the small electric hatch currently holds the title of the cheapest electric vehicle (EV) in Australia, despite competition from the BYD Dolphin and MG 4.
Both rivals have outsold the Ora by a considerable amount, with GWM tallying 592 Ora sales over the first half of 2024 compared to 1248 Dolphin sales and 2771 MG4 sales.
