2023 Honda Accord price and specs

The Honda Accord has been a staple of the mid-sized sedan segment, despite its rivals exiting the segment year after year.

The current model Honda Accord has been upgraded overseas, with Honda revealing the 11th-generation model late in 2022 for the US market. It’s not clear when (or if) it will come to Australia.

“Accord remains an important global nameplate for Honda, with a very loyal and valued customer base here in Australia, but it is too early for us to confirm any details about plans for the next generation model,” a Honda Australia spokesperson told CarExpert in 2022.

“The current model will continue in Australia for some time yet and it continues to perform strongly as a supporting model in the line-up.”

Prices start from $57,900 drive-away for the petrol engine, and $61,900 drive-away for the hybrid powertrain.

The petrol model in 2022 was hit with a price increase of $500, however pricing since then remains unchanged.

Honda has said current demand for the Accord in Australia exceeds supply, and its hybrid models are being favoured by customers. In 2022 Honda sold 96 examples of the Accord, which represents a 6.7 per cent increase on 2021.

Efficiency

The 2023 Honda Accord petrol uses a claimed 6.5L/100km on the combined cycle, while the hybrid improves that figure to 4.3L/100km. 

Both models run on 91RON regular unleaded fuel. 

The hybrid has a 48L fuel tank, while the turbo has a 56L tank.

Drivetrains

There are two engines offered in the 2023 Honda Accord, first of which is a turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol four-cylinder. 

It produces 140kW of power and 260Nm of torque, put to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). 

The hybrid pairs a 2.0-litre petrol four-cylinder engine with an electric motor for a combined 158kWand 315Nm, put once again to the front wheels using a hybrid-specific e-CVT transmission.

Dimensions

The 2023 Honda Accord measures 4904mm long, 2137mm wide and 1450mm tall, with a 2830mm wheelbase. 

Boot space is listed at 570L.

Servicing and Warranty

Servicing is required every 12 months or 10,000km – whichever comes first. 

Capped price servicing has increased by $74 per service across the Honda range for 2023, but the Accord is still cheaper to service than a Toyota Camry which costs $255 per service for both petrol and hybrid models.

The first five services cost $199, for a total of $995 over five years.

As with the entire Honda range, the Accord is backed by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.

The 2023 Honda Accord hasn’t been tested by ANCAP, nor the organisation’s partners at Euro NCAP.
