Ford Australia has detailed the pricing and specification for the updated MY23.5 Ranger ute ahead of production starting in March next year.
UPDATE, 10/11/2022 2:54pm – A Ford Australia spokesperson has provided some clarifications around those who order a Ranger V6 today and if they are likely to receive an updated MY23.5 spec with the price bump.
Pricing is up by between $250 and $1300, depending on the variant, with the Ford Ranger range now starting at $36,180 before on-road costs for the XL 4×2 single-cab chassis, and extending to $86,790 before on-road costs for the baja-ready Ranger Raptor.
This latest asking price for the flagship Ranger Raptor was reported a few weeks ago, along with a new $3500 power roller shutter option and plastic drop-in bedliner.
The Ford Australia website currently says if you order a Ranger right now with the in demand V6 turbo-diesel or V6 twin-turbo petrol that it’ll arrive around March to June next year.
“Given the current high demand for the Ranger Wildtrak V6, the majority of 2022.00MY production up to February 2023 has been sold,” said a Ford Australia spokesperson.
“It is therefore likely that an order placed today could not be satisfied by a 2022.00MY vehicle and instead would be matched to a 2023.50MY vehicle built from March 2023 onwards, and therefore be subject to the revised recommended MLP.”
“However, as always, the selling price of any vehicle or option is entirely at the discretion of the dealer.”
“If dealers are unable to match a current or future order to a 2022.00MY vehicle that will be produced before March, they will contact their customers and let them know their vehicle will be a 2023.50MY and will be subject to the revised recommended MLP,” added the Ford Australia spokesperson.
“If that’s the case, customers have the right to cancel their contract and have their deposit refunded in full.”
One highlight of the MY23.5 update is that all Ranger XLT and Sport variants now come standard with an integrated trailer brake controller.
The Ranger XL cab-chassis variants now come standard with a rear-view camera, like the rest of the range.
There’s a new optional wheel pack for the Ranger Wildtrak which costs $500 and adds 20-inch machined-face alloy wheels, wrapped in all-season tyres.
The optional Touring Pack, which is available on XLT pickup and Sport models, is now $395 more expensive at $1295 and includes a cargo management system and auxiliary switch bank.
The XLT cab-chassis variants also receive a standalone option for the auxiliary switch bank which costs $250.
The Wildtrak Premium pack is now $350 more expensive at $1850, with no changes in terms of spec, and prestige paint which is $25 more expensive at $700.
