BMW is implementing a number of updates across various model lines from July 2022 for the European market, with the high-performance M3 Sedan to receive the brand’s latest infotainment technology.
The 2023 BMW M3 Sedan is scheduled to get the new BMW Curved Display set up within a couple of months, complete with BMW Operating System 8, the company’s latest iteration of its iDrive interface.
However, while confirmed for the European market, it’s unclear when these changes will be reflected locally.
BMW has yet to reveal the exterior of the 2023 M3, given the updated 3 Series range was just revealed this week.
As part of the mid-life refresh, the 3 Series sedan and wagon receive the new infotainment set-up.
According to the global media release, the BMW Curved Display will be standard equipment for the M3 from July. It includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster tied to a 14.9-inch central infotainment display.
New options and packages will also be made available for the M3 from July, including a new Innovation Package as well as a Frozen Pure Grey metallic exterior paint.
BMW Operating System 8 has been confirmed to receive upgraded features and services too, including new map displays, an enhanced intelligent voice assistant, and for M vehicles the interface will include an M-specific layout.
The related BMW M4 Coupe and Convertible aren’t getting the BMW Curved Display, though they are getting “new M graphics for the engine compartment and luggage compartment lides” for “a particularly expressive touch”. Right.
