2022 Porsche Cayenne facelift spied inside and out

The third-generation Porsche Cayenne is due for its mid-life facelift, and it will feature revised styling and upgraded cabin technology.

While this Porsche Cayenne prototype doesn’t have all the updates destined for the facelift, it does show us what the revised front and interior will look like.

Up front the prototype sports a revised bumper with larger and squarer air intakes.

Whereas the car presently in showrooms worldwide features a two intakes on each side, the updated model will have just one enlarged unit.

The central inlet has grown too. It is even more rectangular than the current design, and is split by two thick black slats.

There’s also a slightly redesigned headlight unit.

While earlier spy photos revealed the facelifted model will sport a new tailgate and tail-light design with the licence plate moved down into the bumper, this prototype is fitted with the current production setup.

Our spy agency did manage to snap a view of the updated interior. Those in love with old-school analogue dials will be disappointed to see a completely digital instrumentation screen.

Porsche’s latest infotainment system sits in the centre of the dashboard.

It’s possible there are further interior changes in store, including revisions to the centre console and the adoption of the 911’s shaver-style transmission lever.
