Porsche has been busy making the 911 GT3 even wilder.
The 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS has been snapped testing with a gargantuan, dual-tier rear wing that’s even taller than the swan-neck unit on the 2021 GT3.
It looks like it’s been ripped straight off a GT3 racer, although it’s not clear if it’ll make production in the same form. The wing itself has a dual-tier design rather than the single-tier spoiler on the GT3.
The haunches are concealed on this GT3 RS prototype, which suggests the rear bumper could be broader and more aggressively vented than that of the regular GT3.
Up front, the wheel arches are home to louvred vents to reduce pressure – just like on the last car – while the bonnet appears more aggressively vented than that of the regular GT3.
Under the skin, expect the GT3 RS to eke even more power from the 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated engine used in the GT3, where it makes 375kW.
Although Porsche offers a six-speed manual transmission in the GT3, the previous RS was seven-speed PDK only. It’s like the 2022 model will be the same.
