The facelifted Ford Fiesta has been snapped near the Blue Oval’s factory in Cologne, Germany.
This prototype is of the pseudo-crossover Active model, which features a raised ride height and wheel arch protectors.
Compared to the Fiesta currently in showrooms, this facelifted model will have a redesigned front bumper, although the one fitted to this car seems to be either a temporary unit or is fitted with lots of false mouldings.
There will also be new headlight graphics and an updated grille design.
While this car doesn’t sport any changes at the back that we can discern, it’s possible these updates will appear in later test vehicles.
Unfortunately these photos don’t reveal much about the Fiesta’s interior, which will likely feature the usual trim and colour fiddles.
It’s possible the revised model will feature Ford’s latest Sync 4 infotainment system, although the touchscreen on the dashboard looks to be around the same size as today’s unit.
In Australia the current generation of the Fiesta is only sold in hot ST form with a 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine making 147kW and 290Nm.
In a boon to enthusiasts, but likely to the detriment of sales Down Under, the ST is only available with a six-speed manual transmission.
Take advantage of Australia's BIGGEST new car website to find a great deal on a Ford Fiesta.
