The Mazda 2 hatchback and sedan wade into 2021 with no changes, save for a limited 100th Anniversary model atop the range.

The cheapest Mazda on sale in Australia was significantly updated early in 2020, with a raft of new safety features and a tweaked design to match the latest Mazda 3 and CX-30 on the outside.

The range starts at $20,990 before on-road costs for the G15 Pure manual hatch and sedan, rising to $25,990 before on-roads for the G15 GT auto hatch and sedan.

The Mazda 2 is unusual in that, in the proud tradition of the 121, it offers a sedan variant in the light car class.

With the discontinuation of the Holden Barina, Honda City and Hyundai Accent, that leaves the 2 as the only sedan in its class.
