There are some exterior changes with the 2021Jeep Compass, but the big news is inside where there’s a completely new dashboard and some large screens.

The new dash features a prominent faux stitched leather pad, and a full width chrome strip that serves to hide the thin set of side air vents.

In the middle there’s a larger 10.1-inch touchscreen standing proud and tall, and likely featuring the company’s latest uConnect 5 infotainment system.

Further down there’s a slicker climate control setup, and a new centre console with piano black plastic.

Ahead of the driver there’s a new, more modern steering wheel and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

As we’ve seen on spy photos earlier this year, the updated Compass has slimmer LED headlights, and a revised seven-slot grille featuring a new insert.

There are also revised tail light graphics, and two new front bumper designs — one for regular models, and one for Trail Rated variants.

In China, the revised Compass will be sold with a 1.3-litre turbo engine mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission.

    Australian models currently feature either a 129kW/229Nm 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol or 125kW/350Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel.
