Ford’s hottest hatch is getting a bit more premium… for a limited few.
The 2021 Ford Focus ST-3 has been revealed for Australia. Just 200 will be offered, all with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Pricing starts at $47,990 before on-road costs, with prestige paint a $650 option.
The updated ST-1 and ST-3 will be here late in 2021.
The standard Focus ST is priced at $44,690 before on-road costs, with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission.
Many of the features in the ST-3 were previously standard in the ST, which lost blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, heated seats and a 10-speaker sound system as part of its 2021 model year update.
Blind-spot and rear cross-traffic alert will again be standard across the ST range, including on the ST-3, from later this year.
New for the ST in Australia is the lighting system, which uses a camera to read the road ahead and actively steer the beam for upcoming bends.
Unique standard equipment in the ST-3 includes:
Power still comes from a 2.3-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine with 206kW of power and 420Nm of torque, sent exclusively to the front wheels.
