Mitsubishi Australia has recalled the 2020 Outlander PHEV SUV to fix a problem with the second row, right-hand seat belt shoulder anchor.

The company says the anchorage wasn’t assembled correctly, and might not restrain occupants properly in a crash, increasing their risk of injury or death.

    • A total of 1948 cars are included in the recall
    • A VIN list of affected vehicles is attached here
    • The original recall notice is attached here

Mitsubishi Australia will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with the nearest dealer.

Concerned owners can contact Mitsubishi on 1300 131 211 or at this link for more information.
