Ford Australia has recalled the 2019 Focus to fix a problem with the engine wiring loom.
“The transmission stud may chafe on the engine wiring loom. The engine warning light may also illuminate,” Ford says in its recall notice.
“Damage to the wiring loom may lead to reduced engine power and engine stall. This can increase the risk of injury and death of vehicle occupants and other road users in an accident,” it said.
Ford will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
