    2019-20 Mercedes-AMG GT53 4-Door recalled

    Mercedes-Benz has recalled its big, bruising AMG GT53 4-Door to fix a potential problem with the wheel hub covers.

    Mercedes-Benz Australia has recalled the AMG GT53 4-Door to fix a problem with the wheel hub covers.

    “The wheel hub covers may not have been manufactured correctly and may detach from the wheel hub,” Mercedes-Benz says in its recall notice.

    “If the wheel hub detaches while driving, it may impact other vehicles or road users or result in an increased risk of accident or injury.”

    • A total of 15 cars are included in the recall
    • Affected cars were sold between March 4, 2019 and June 25, 2020
    • A VIN list of affected cars is attached here

    Mercedes-Benz will contact owners of the affected vehicles and advise them to organise a free fix with their nearest dealer.
