Volvo Car Australia has issued a recall for 372 units across its previous-generation 60 Series lines over concerns diesel models could have a cooling issue which may pose a fire risk.
The Swedish brand says: “If the cooling system has to be refilled, air may become trapped in the cooling system, which may result in insufficient cooling of the engine components”.
“Insufficient cooling may result in damage to engine components and may cause a fire in the engine bay.”
“A fire in the engine bay increases the risk of an accident and injury or death to the vehicle occupants and other road users,” Volvo adds.
This latest recall follows two earlier notices issued for similar model lines and model years – read more here.
Volvo Australia says it will contact affected owners in writing, requesting them to make an appointment with their preferred dealer for repairs.
To find your nearest Volvo dealer, use the look-up tool on the company’s website or call 1300 787 802 for more information.
