The LDV T60 carries on with a choice of two trim levels, two transmissions, and two body styles.

    The T60 is relatively unique in offering an extended tub.

    Although the Volkswagen Amarok is also available with a longer load bay, it’s around $20,000 less expensive than the cheapest Amarok XL.

    Engine

    The 2020 LDV T60 is powered by a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel producing 110kW of power and 360Nm of torque.

    Six-speed manual or torque-converter automatic transmissions are available across the range.

    Four-wheel drive is standard with switchable 2H, 4H and 4L modes, with a rear-differential lock available on Luxe trim levels.

    Fuel Economy

    Combined fuel economy for the manual models is 8.8L/100km, with automatic models returning 9.6L/100km.

    Dimensions

    The regular dual-cab 2020 LDV T60 measures 5365mm long, 1900mm wide, 1852mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3155mm.

    Despite being longer at 5680mm long with a 3470mm wheelbase, Mega Tub variants are also slightly lower to the ground at 1809mm tall.

    With the standard tub box fitted a regular pallet will not quite fit, with the space between the wheel arches being 1131mm.

    Approach angle is 27 degrees, departure angle is 24.2 degrees and ramp break-over angle is 21.3 degrees, while LDV claims a wading depth of 550mm.

    All T60 variants have a braked towing capacity of 3000kg.

    Payload varies from 815kg on the Luxe Auto, to 1025kg on the Pro Manual.

    Servicing and Warranty

    The first service for the T60 is required within the first six months or 5000km.

    Regular maintenance is required 12 months or 15,000km – whichever comes first.

    The 2021 LDV T60 is backed by a five-year, 130,000km warranty (whichever comes first).

    Safety

    All 2021 LDV T60 models (including Mega Tub variants) come with a five-star ANCAP safety rating.

    Tested in 2017, the T60 scored an overall score of 35.46 out of 37.
